However, is it for people who do have many long cpu intensive tasks? Probably best to do those on a desktop Mac or switch to a bulkier Windows laptop that has better thermal management. I suspect that they studied the market and that most buyers don't have long cpu demanding runs.
The laptop tends to show severe screen flickering and lines crossing through the picture after waking up from extended periods of idling (after the display has turned off). Benchmarking the Vega 20 I get higher for the OpenCL which should NOT be the case. Benchmarking for the UHD 630 I get a higher score for Metal which is what I expect.
